ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT FOR EROSION CONTROL BENEFITING ALL LOCAL WILDLIFE
ROOT CAUSES
Why Is This Imortant?
DROUGHT
A drought is an event of prolonged shortages in the water supply, whether atmospheric surface water or groundwater. A drought can last for months or years. It can have a substantial impact on the ecosystem and agriculture of the affected area and cause harm to people and animals.
Utah is a drought state, so it is very important that we go above and beyond to conserve water.
EROSION
Erosion is the process in which Earth's materials are worn away and transported by natural forces such as wind and water. Erosion washes away the soil that plants use to grow on and live in a drought state there are already limited plants, so erosion needs to be prevented as much as possible.
WILDLIFE
Wildlife is local animals that are not domesticated and many parts of Utah are known for their wildlife. Animals are looking for more water and are crossing roads causing more animal deaths and humans getting injured. More water pools are necessary to prevent animal deaths and human injury.
